β˜€οΈ Update

Yesterday and today, Soleil is back to herself and very positive! (She had signs of regression this past week that had been concerning.) We are thankful for all of your uplifting prayers ✨

Her blood cultures are negative! WBC and ANC are slowly climbing from yesterday (WBC is at 0.2 and ANC at 24) still low, but going up! Her medical team would like her ANC levels to be at least 200. RBC is down 7.7 (8.2 yesterday); if it gets to 7.5, she will need a blood transfusion. Praying her RBCs and all blood counts go up fast!

Even though Soleil’s counts are not yet where we would like them to be, it was as if she turned around. Mommy walked into her room yesterday, super charged with three little birds on her mind. They were mirroring each other; riding the same wavelength, our Sunshine Girl even moreso! Soleil told May that she wasn’t worried anymore… Because Papa Jesus. πŸ™

Counts Down, Spirits Up!

Our Sunshine Girl starts the week off back at the hospital after being admitted through the ER yesterday. No fever but significantly low blood counts, immune system and concerning mental status; still, our girl’s smile shines bright!

Many thanks for keeping Soleil in your thoughts and continous prayers. It’s the faithful fuel to help us power through this!

We are waiting for blood culture results and next steps. In the meantime, our brave Sol is making bracelets, drawing pictures and enjoying video texts that really do brighten her day! (Feel free to send to May or James to share with Soleil.) These were from her dear friend in Vancouver and Godfather at a concert yesterday:

Cycle 1 of Chemo Complete!

Soleil finished up Cycle 1 of chemo today. We are 25% done, whoo hoo! Here is our #BraveSol basking in sun kisses:

We are keeping a watchful eye as we focus on recovering and building up her counts for the next cycle.

The most noticeable difference has been a regression in her personality which may be due to the fatigue and chemotherapy. But here and there, Soleil’s sassiness breaks through and her eyes remain bright. Thank you for being part of our journey. Kindly keep Soleil in your prayers for complete healing and recovery -mind, body and spirit. πŸ™πŸ’›β˜€οΈ

Soleil’s Colorful Soles

During this first cycle of chemo, Soleil has been able to keep up her appetite, get a little more sleep and go through a rainbow of emotions.

No fear though when Daddy and the nurse gave her Peg shot yesterday. Soleil really is a trooper!

And these colorful shoes get her up to dance and walk around while outpatient physical and occupational therapy is currently on hold. Soleil loves the custom Vans complete with a few of her favorite things: sunshine, lollipops, rainbows, Ariel, and the Boov-thang from HOME. Thank you Peach’s Neet Feet and Rady Children’s! And many thanks to you for keeping our Sunshine Girl in your prayers for complete healing and recovery. πŸ™πŸ˜˜πŸ’›

Round 1 of Chemo, Day 2

So far, Soleil has had a day of intermittent nystagmus, a bout of vomiting and slight abdominal pain. The nurses and her medical team are on top of antimetics and have updated meds as to address these side effects. Through it all, our Sunshine Girl smiles through the tears.

Please pray for complete healing and recovery. That Soleil stays physically and emotionally strong through chemotherapy and that she has little to no side effects.

Soleil’s mom, dad, brother, and baby sister sincerely thank all of you for the supporting prayers and thoughts. πŸ™  Together, we can do this!

Captain Chemo Starts Today!

πŸ™πŸ½ Before the day ends, I’d like to ask a BIG favor…To say a little prayer for our Sunshine Girl Soleil β˜€οΈ. Today, she starts her 4 month chemo treatment. Please pray that all the medical staff take extra good care of her, and all the medicine and interventions work to heal her 100%. That Soleil has little to no side effects and that her immune system and counts stay up. For her baby brother, brand-new sister and her parents @_mamayo and @jt__619 who will be at her side through it all – that they feel all your uplifting prayers during this time to remain strong and healthy – and that through it all Soleil stay faithful πŸ™ŒπŸ½ We love you our brave Soleil! Keep shining beautiful girl! ❀️❀️❀️ #SoleilStrong #soleilssoldiers #noonefightsalone

Big & Busy Week

Please send up extra prayers this morning as Soleil goes in for her MRI, Lumbar Puncture and (baseline) hearing test.

Also this week: her brother starts preschool; their new sibling is due to arrive; and a meeting with Oncology to discuss testing results and chemo treatment. As always, many, heartfelt thanks for the continued thoughts and prayers all!

Baseline Testing

See our Sunshine Girl sportin’ her Shopkins cap and sipping on her smoothie before baseline tests (that was a mouthful)! Today she will have her Pulmonary, EKG and Echo Ultrasound before scheduled chemo treatment in a few weeks. Kindly continue to keep our Soleil in your thoughts and prayers. βœ¨πŸ™πŸ’› Thank you!

Post-Proton Rx

It’s been a little over a week since Soleil completed Proton Radiation. Since then she has enjoyed swimming, making Shopkins’ toy reviews and a trip to Disneyland -doctors’ orders!

Soleil just started outpatient physical and occupational therapy on Friday and will continue three times a week, along with speech therapy once a week. Exactly one month to go before chemotherapy begins. She has been eating as best as she can (with the exception of her only cheat day at Disney) and staying on top of her supplements and green-alkaline smoothies to optimize health (thanks Auntie Annabelle). And THANK YOU ALL so very much for keeping our Sunshine Girl in your thoughts and prayersπŸ’›LOVE AND LIGHT FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS ✨
